Brief: write a one act play not longer than 1000 words. It has to begin with
the words:

'The minute he took his trousers off in that beach hut at Margate I knew
Judith's marriage was heading for an iceberg.'

And must finish with the words:

'Ah yes but as your doctor let me remind you: technically speaking, a taste
for listening to Perry Como and Hitler's speeches would not prove
conclusively that your mother is insane.'


Okey doky? The prize is a public declaration of your genius.

Tricky stuff. Never been a 'play' type person, but I'll give it a go, as
they used to say.

It can be a short story BUT you will find that a one act play will get you
thinking about staging.
