Hi all,

Sorry for spamming but just want to bring your attention to a new
(non-vanity!) anthology of internet poetry that has just been published in
the UK. The book was compiled by the editors of the long-running
Scriberazone website, and features selected writing from some fabulous net
writers.

The British poet laureate Andrew Motion called it "a crucial part of the
contemporary scene" and we were also pleased that the poet & critic Peter
Finch said "it's a new literary world out there and Scriberazone are at the
forefront". But away from the plaudits it's a good read and we hope that it
continues the democratisation of poetry that the internet is engendering.

Contraflower: a new poetic underground
Editors: Sarah Annetts & Peter Johnson
ISBN: 095503260-1
Available from http://www.scriberazone.co.uk, http://www.amazon.co.uk etc.

:))) OK... the deduction might be: there are forces which are opposing
to the democratisation of poetry.
Please... give us some names. Which publishers, which universities,
which newspapers or which magazines?. Otherwise... it might be only a
mere statement sounding a marketing one...
Thank you...

What?!

The internet by its very nature democratises creative expression: blogs,
websites etc, allow individuals to publish their writing without the caital
outlay and other considerations of traditional publishing rroutes.

I'd have though it that was pretty obvious & self - explanatory.

Cheers
