Nah. Just use imagination and talent.

The three Heinlein rules for writers are the most sensible.

1) Write something. A lot of writers overlook this.

2) Send it to someone. Again, a lot writers forget this
step.

3) Keep repeating 1) and 2)

I would add: use a sensible mono-spaced font such as Courier,
unjustified right. I get too many frightful seeming camera-ready MSS off
the slush pile. You are not writing a book, you are writing a manuscript
that might be turned into a book.

If the above text is badly broken, then you're not even using a sensible
mono-spaced font for your news client.
