TAXES!

Author Unknown

Tax his land, tax his bed,
Tax the table at which he's fed.
Tax his tractor, tax his mule,
Teach him taxes are the rule.
Tax his cow, tax his goat,
Tax his pants, tax his coat.
Tax his ties, tax his shirt,
Tax his work, tax his dirt.
Tax his tobacco, tax his drink,
Tax him if he tries to think.
Tax his cigars, tax his beers,
If he cries, then tax his tears.
Tax his car, tax his gas,
Find other ways to tax his ass
Tax all he has then let him know
That you won't be done till he has no dough.
When he screams and hollers, then tax him some more,
Tax him till he's good and sore.

Then tax his coffin, tax his grave,
Tax the sod in which he's laid.
Put these words upon his tomb,
"Taxes drove me to my doom..."
When he's gone, Do not relax,
Its time to apply the inheritance tax.

COMMENT: Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, and our nation
was the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national
debt, had the largest middle class
in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.

What happened?

And NOW I have to "press 1" for English?

What happened... while we were all asleep???

The same thing that is still happening. It is happening right now, and
it is happening everywhere, even right there where you are now, while
you are reading this. It is happening because we have allowed it to
happen and as long as we allow it, it will continue to get worse and
worse, and soon it will be worse than it has ever been (Matthew
24:21-22). It won't stop until enough people decide to wake up and do
something about it, and are ready to put a stop to it.

THEY* LIVE... we sleep - http://www.jahtruth.net/theylive.htm

- "THEY" - The Hierarchy Enslaving You

Care to know what is going on in the world? Perhaps you do, but do you
dare to search for and find out what really happened and is happening
right now, and who is behind it all? And are you willing to put in the
effort & time required to "dig" until you find "The Truth"? And should
you happen to find it, will you dare to look into "The True Mirror"?

If your answer is yes, then might we suggest that you make sure to put
on "the whole armour of God" (Ephesians 6:11-17), and to pull out that
rusty old "mental shovel" that has been lying unused in the back of
your mind, between all the clutter of useless "TV programming" and the
many other meaningless forms of "education" that people get fed every
day and get ready for some DIGGING, some independent THOUGHT, and
perhaps even some "soul-searching" for that most invaluable treasure
called: "The Truth".

Matthew
6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

This treasure, The Truth, is waiting to be dug out at:

TAXES!
More a sequence of rhyming couplets perhaps.

It seemed that there might have been some point that you were trying to make,
but sadly it was lost in the post.

Yes, I was hoping it would be a witty poem in the light of
the budget but, even though there are poets here in the
UK (what a lovely homophone that was in less walk-on-by
times) who can naturally adopt the American metier for
good reason - Grenadan-originated satire, for example -
the ambiguity inherent in "pants" whittled my appetite,
"ass" totally lost it for me and, by "Federal" I was rather
expecting the poster might have enough integrity to post
a link to the original as it appeared in news:rec.arts.poems
or the wit to juxtapose some pun on the concept of "clog".

But, alas, no.

Odd the mention of "jah" and the heavy biblical aspect
coupled with the total oversight of any inherent ambiguity
in the line "smile at the rising sun" as penned by the late
Robert Nestor Marley--particularly with the vitriolic tones
inherent in "press 1 for English"...

...but then Bob did spend some time on these shores.

Whereas Elvis got scared off by rumours of widespread
nimbomania I gather. And this was when he would've
raised the number of substance dependents in the country
by a statistically significant percentage. Or permillage
to be more precise.

So, on balance, I think we may either have got us a Texan
toff or, perhaps, a TIMES reader. But wouldn't that cause
problems for recipients using the old ntl infrastructure?

Yes, I remember learning in school that the irony about
Germany was that the Democratic bit wasn't, and nor
was the Feral Republic anything like as much fun as
any of the boys from Düsseldorf, or even Hamburg,
implied. And there was bun tins, and diving boars.
